Designed in collaboration with Norwegian drummer, Erik Smith, the Istanbul Mehmet Erik Smith series of cymbals pays homage to a long time endorser of Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals. Erik is recognised as a versatile and seasoned drummer who has had a long and fruitful drumming career playing alongside the likes of Donna Summer an Josh Groban to name but a few. The Istanbul Mehmet 15" Erik Smith Versa Hi-Hats are versatile cymbals which have been created using a high grade B20 bronze alloy and have been uniquely created with a heavier top and bottom. These cymbals have been created this way to allow for more volume, precision and definition; a quality which overall makes for a more flexible and versatile pair of hi-hats that are suitable for use with a range of musical styles.

All of the cymbals from Istanbul Mehmet are created using traditional cymbal making techniques and are handcrafted to perfection and this is another stunning example of the high quality that oozes from Istanbul Mehmet cymbals.
