Sonor AQ2 series are an all purpose and super popular shell pack that features a 7-ply maple shell construction, 4 plies of Canadian maple and 3 plies of Chinese maple were used to create the all purpose base of Sonor AQ2. The sound produced from the 7-ply maple drum shell offers variety, versatility and adaptability on all counts from the sound to the design.

The AQ2 Series of drums gives you the ability to sound like the pros and offers newly designed shell hardware as well as the impressive new tom mounting system, SmartMount Tom Holder System Technology. SmartMount Technology is a welcome addition to this series as it avoids unnecessary drilling holes and metal to shell contact, allowing for better sustain and better visibility on the shell surface.
